Adeptus Arbites!

Postby Eisenfresser » Sun Jun 02, 2019 11:06 am

Game preferences:
+1 to going first roll if you finish deploying first
All terrain is "statuary"
No First Blood - it's basically a bonus VP for going first
Current Beta rules

Army
4,500 points of Imperial Guard
2,800 of tanks alone

Prediction: they're posed like actual humans wearing heavy body armor carrying guns, people will hate that.

My only issue is the distinct lack of riot shield.
Game Preferences:
A model may assault upper levels of terrain if they charge far enough to climb them
All current beta rules in effect unless opponent prefers otherwise
I love setting up custom, fluffy scenarios, PM me!

I have bits for that.

Compared to other 40k figures with MANLY ELBOWS OUT GUN HOLDING POSE they'll probably look a bit weedy.

Also it means they'll be another "all guns except melee sergeant" necromunda gang. I wish they had a different special gun instead of the sniper.

As one that has never played old school Necromunda, I don't mind the look of these enforcers. I would probably just do a head swap and be all set. FW does release weapon packs for Necromunda gangs, so it could be possible to have melee enforcers. if I could, SHOCK BATONS FOR ALL!

No pauldrons?

....is this 40k?
“Fairy tales do not give the child his first idea of bogey. What fairy tales give the child is his first clear idea of the possible defeat of bogey. The baby has known the dragon intimately ever since he had an imagination. What the fairy tale provides for him is a St. George to kill the dragon.”

On one hand, Im pumped that Arbites are a thing (again) now. But on the other...I dunno. They look cool. But they dont look like ARBITES to me. A lot of the iconic finishing touches are toned down or missing altogether.

Less knock-off Scions.

More JUDGE DREDD.

MORE RIOT SHIELDS, BATONS, AND HUGE-ASS EAGLES ON THE HEAD.

Well, they aren't Arbites. Thery're local necromundan police enforcers.

And my impression was less "knock off scions" and more "scouts, but we made them Primaris Marines."
